What’s the point of walking at the gym?
Whenever I’m doing cardio at the gym, it seems like everyone is just walking, or jogging half the time at most. I have no marathon intentions, but I always try to jog/run as much as I can. Sure, walking doesn’t get you red and pouring sweat, and you can read Your Magazine, but does it improve your fitness and heart-lung endurance?
for some just walking in the gym with the way things are now days, allows for them to be in a safe atmosphere. Rather than fearing to be mugged!. For me that’s enough reason…
walking is great exercise. Some can’t do the jogging, hip trouble and other problems, movement of any kind is better than being stiff and locked up! Just walking can help to lose weight. I walked a few blocks at regular pace to get my children when small from school , by the end of the year i was toned and lost a few dress sizes.. i ate the same as usual.. so , yes.. it does improve your fitness. And, my asthma went away..
