Question about magazine subscriptions?
I recently signed up and paid to receive Cosmopolitan magazine every month for a year. I have gotten the one issue that just came out a few weeks ago, “Cosmopolitan Style and Beauty” and I noticed today that the September issue is now on the stands. I haven’t gotten it yet in the mail. I don’t want to freak out just yet, but how do these things usually get scheduled? Do I get them before they hit stands or several days after they hit stores/stands? I’m just worried because I live in a college town where people could possibly get into my mail and if that were the case then I would have the address changed, but until I can prove that, I’d like to get them here while away at school. Does anybody know how they are distributed through the mail?
You should get them before they hit the stands. I have subscribed to several beauty, fashion, tv gossip, business, art and music mags and always got mine before the stores received there’s. That’s the beauty of subscribing. The convenience of getting them a few days or weeks before they hit the stores.
It is possible that it got lost in the mail. There should be a phone number in the front of the magazine and you can call and they will send you a replacement issue at no cost.
It’s a good idea while you’re away at school that you get a P.O. Box at the Post Office or one of those Mail Box stores and just have someone go p/u your mail once a week. That way you know your mags and other mail is safe from prying eyes and hands. ~J~
