Google is another American company that failed in the Chinese market. Why?
Time magazine correctly points out that, “Google has not been doing all that well in China . . . badly trailing the domestic Chinese search company Baidu.” Time acknowledges the failure of EBay and Yahoo in China. Why can’t American Internet companies succeed in China? Is it lack of intelligence? Arrogance? Both?
Needless to say, Time magazine is a western media outlet with a long history of anti-Chinese commentary. We all know that is how misleading western media can be, so read this article with caution.

May I say that this is quite an arrogant assumption, ha ha. Yes, Google has been trailing behind Baidu, but personally I couldn’t care less because I find it extremely useful and I never use the latter. But of course eBay and Google should fail. They are companies trying to break into a market which already has established leaders.
